Fans have been anxiously awaiting the return of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Following the season 1 reunion, two of its stars began experiencing legal drama. 

Jen Shah was arrested on charges of running a telemarketing scheme and allegedly stealing thousands of dollars from the elderly. She pleaded not guilty but a Utah judge deemed her enough of a flight risk to mandate her to the state and forbid her from using her bank accounts. Sources revealed in the wake of her arrest that it was all caught on camera, with Shah being arrested in the middle of filming a scene with her co-star.

Mary Cosby, known for her unconventional and controversial marriage to her step-grandfather was recently arrested on a misdemeanor for allegedly hiding a runaway. She denies such, hinting that she was helping a family member. Cosby also says she’s “saddened” by the chain of events.

Now, the season 2 trailer is here and features stars Lisa Barlow, Mary Cosby, Heather Gay, Meredith Marks, Whitney Rose and Jen Shah, as well as newcomer Jennie Nguyen.

Before getting into the legal woes, Jen introduces Jennie. “Jennie is a little firecracker, okay?” Jen tells the cameras in a confessional. Later, fans are introduced to her husband Duy, who wants to have more kids. 

Meredith’s son has issues with Jen, Whitney reveals there are rumors that Mary leads a cult, and then the camera cuts to Shah’s legal drama. Shah sobs at the idea of facing an eight-year prison sentence and not seeing her children to her husband, telling him, “Do you know how f—ing scared I am?” 

Meredith and Jen later have a blow-up fight over the legal controversy. Season 2 of RHOSLC premieres Sep. 12 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
