Robert Downey Jr. is like all of us who want to see Ironheart, aka 15-year-old Riri Williams, make it into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Ironheart writer Eve L. Ewing introduced Downey at the 2019 Gene Siskel Film Center gala honoring director and Marvel actor Jon Favreau on June 15. Ewing later tweeted more about the event.

As we’ve already heard throughout the latter half of head of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige’s tenure, Feige claims to be invested in increasing the diversity in the MCU. Avengers: Endgame provides the MCU with its best chance to revamp the MCU into something more diverse and gender-inclusive, with Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie becoming the next leader of Asgard and Anthony Mackie becoming the next Captain America. With those results, could Ironheart be next on the horizon? We’ll have to wait and see.
