Vin Diesel is known the face and frontman of The Fast and the Furious franchise. Now, Diesel is trading in his cars for toy gadgets.
It was recently announced that Diesel is set to star in an adaptation of the popular Mattel toy game Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em from Mattel Films and Universal Pictures The game, among one of many that are popular on Mattel’s label, was established in 1964 and focuses on two dueling robot boxers.
“To take the classic Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em game, with Mattel as my partner, and align it with the kind of world-building, franchise-making success we have had with Universal, is truly exciting,” said Diesel in a statement via Deadline.
Mattel is also making a film based on the popular card game Uno with rapper Lil Yachty, as well as a Barney movie starring Daniel Kaluuya.
Diesel is currently set to reprise his role as Dominic Toretto in the ninth installment of The Fast and the Furious franchise. In addition, he is also expected to reprise his role as Groot in the Marvel film Thor: Love and Thunder and star in the multiple sequels to the 2009 film Avator.
