Rome Flynn has been upped to series regular for How to Get Away with Murder season 5, which premieres this fall.
Flynn debuted in the Season 4 finale in the mysterious role of Gabriel Maddox. At that time it was unknown whether his status in the show was recurring or main cast.
We still don’t know much about the character or his storyline, but the Season 4 finale is strongly hinted that he could be the son of Bonnie (Liza Weil), or possibly even Annalise (Viola Davis).
Flynn starred in the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful from 2015-17, and recently won Best Younger Actor in a Daytime Emmy Award for his role as Zende Forrester Dominiquez. Since leaving the show for primetime opportunities, he’s guest starred on CBS’s MacGyver and NCIS: New Orleans and was a series regular for the final season of OWN’s The Haves and the Have Nots. He’s also set to appear in the film A Madea Family Funeral in 2019.
Deadline first broke the news of Flynn’s upgraded status.
