In two new video segments from Vanity Fair and The New York Times, Ryan Coogler broke down two subsequent, pivotal scenes from Black Panther.

Disclaimer: Light spoilers from the film may appear below

In the casino scene, T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) accompanied by Okoye (Danai Gurira) and Nakia (Lupita N’yongo) are in a South Korean underground casino to intercept a vibranium sale that Klaue is trying to make, with the intention of taking him back to Wakanda for his crimes. However, an all-out royale breaks out when their cover is blown and they must act quick. You can watch part of that scene, with commentary (and drawings) from Coogler, below:

The car chase scene sees T’Challa on top of a car driven remotely by Shuri (Letitia Wright) while Nakia and Okoye are on Klaue’s trail. “The whole idea for this scene is we wanted to have a car chase that was unlike any car chase that we had seen before,” Coogler says. “Combining the technology of Wakanda and juxtaposing that with this tradition of an African warrior culture.” You can watch part of that scene, with narration from Coogler, below.
