This is an unexpected and pleasant twist! Peacock has kept under wraps that Lark Voorhees is returning for the upcoming Saved by the Bell revival series. A first-look image was revealed by the streaming service on Thursday. It is unknown if she will be guest-starring or a regular character on the show. Back in February, she talked about being hurt and slighted for not being included, but it looks like things have changed and she is in!
Original cast members Elizabeth Berkley and Mario Lopez are series regulars, while Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Tiffani Thiessen are recurring. The new students are played by Josie Totah, Dexter Darden, Mitchell Hoog, Haskiri Velazquez, Alycia Pascual-Pena and Belmont Cameli. In the revival, Lisa will be depicted as “thriving with a successful career in fashion.”
Here’s the official description of the revival: In the new series, when California governor Zack Morris gets into hot water for closing too many underfunded high schools, he proposes they send the affected students to the most well-funded schools in the state – including Bayside High. The influx of new students gives the privileged Bayside kids (who never have a problem that can’t be solved in twenty-two minutes) a much-needed dose of reality.
The series drops Nov. 25 on Peacock.
