“I’m going to put out my last album and devote 100 percent of my time to doing films…” ~ Diddy.

That’s right; the “Bad Boy” of hip hop is retiring from the rap game, and will focus “100 percent” of his time to making movies, the 46-year-old mogul tells Cigar Aficionado magazine for its  June issue, which he is on the cover of as you can see.

Diddy (aka P. Diddy, Puff Daddy, Sean Combs) doesn’t go into any details on how he plans to get more involved in film – whether acting, directing, producing, financing, etc; so we’ll just have to wait to find out. Unless he spills more in the near-term, before his last album is released.

Diddy tells the magazine that his last album will be titled “No Way Out 2,” a follow-up to 1997’s “No Way Out,” but he hasn’t set a release date for it yet Maybe it’ll be a surprise release – an option some other artists have recently chosen.

“I want to stop at a great place. And a final album is a great place to stop. I want to take a victory lap, to do a world tour and really enjoy it once last time,” he says.

His Bad Boy Family Reunion tour kicks off May 20 at the Barclays Center and will feature appearances by Jay Z, Mary J. Blige, Lil Kim, Mase, Faith Evans, 112, Total, The Lox, and Carl Thomas.

“When I’m gone, only the songs will survive. I know I’m making music that will live on. I don’t go into the studio just to be hot or to hear myself on the radio,” Diddy says in the interview. “Michael Jackson, Tupac, Biggie – part of them lives on in their music, even though they’re not here anymore. That’s really deep, man. The only thing like that is religion.”

Diddy certainly isn’t a stranger to the film business, appearing in films like “Draft Day,” “Training Day,” “Monster’s Ball,” “Get Him to the Greek” and “Rush Hour 4.” He’s also contributed behind-the-scenes, producing, scoring, and even directing. So his decision to devote all of his time to making movies after he drops his last album could include anyone of those things.
