To add to the greatness, Shedeur debuted his #2 BBQ sauce on Tuesday through PLB Sports & Entertainment, a company known for creating food products with various athletes. They are also responsible for Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefan Diggs’ Hot Sauce and Doug Flutie’s “Flutie’s Flakes.”
In a press release, Sanders shared that the sauce is a thick, tomato-based sauce consisting of vinegar and a smoky flavor.
“When my workforce approached me about creating my very own barbecue sauce, I mentioned, ‘that is all I eat. That is excellent!’” Sanders expressed. “It’s extremely genuine and by no means pressured. We tasted a couple of totally different choices.
I gave my opinion on what I appreciated and what I did not like. And we obtained it collectively and made the proper sauce.”
The quarterback’s “#2 BBQ Sauce” is anticipated to be available for sale at Kroger grocery stores, and of course, at the Jackson State Bookstore. The product, which also comes with an apron, will also be available online. In addition, Sanders’ company will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Thurgood Marshall Fund, an organization supporting students attending HBCUs and other colleges.
“We just had to give back to our own people, and it was the only right thing to do, and I felt like the Thurgood Marshall Fund was the best place for the money to go,” Sanders said in a statement.
Along with his business venture, Sanders is one of 10 athletes to sign as an ambassador with Tom Brady’s apparel Brand, and he also has NIL deals with Gatorade and Beats By Dre.
