We are getting closer and closer to The Twilight Zone. The first trailer was released for Jordan Peele’s reboot of the classic series, which will air on CBS All Access. The series premieres on April 1.
Although we don’t know any plot details about any of the episodes, we do know that the stars of the standalone episodes will include Sanaa Lathan, DeWanda Wise, Jessica Williams, Tracy Morgan, Damson Idris, Adam Scott, Kumail Nanjiani, John Cho, Allison Tolman, Jacob Tremblay, Erica Tremblay, Steven Yeun, Greg Kinnear, Lucinda Dryzek, Jefferson White, Jonathan Whitesell, Taissa Farmiga, Rhea Seehorn, Luke Kirby, Ike Barinholtz, Percy Hynes-White, Ginnifer Goodwin, James Frain, and Zabryna Guevara.
“Rod Serling was an uncompromising visionary who not only shed light on social issues of his time but prophesied issues of ours. I’m honored to carry on his legacy to a new generation of audiences as the gatekeeper of The Twilight Zone,” said Peele, in an earlier statement.
Peele, who executive produces, is also the new host.
The iconic science-fiction series, narrated by Serling, originally ran on CBS from 1959-1964. There was a revival in the ’80s on CBS and a short-lived one on UPN in 2002. There was a potential anthology reboot in 2012 to be directed by Bryan Singer, as well.
