Steve Harvey appears to be a winner once again.

This year, Fox enlisted Harvey to host their annual New Year’s Eve special, which Pitbull had hosted since 2014, called Pitbull’s New Year’s Revolution.

For this year’s inaugural Fox’s New Year’s Eve with Steve Harvey, it averaged 5.8 million total viewers from 8 to 10 p.m., with a 1.8 in its key demo.

Overall the show doubled in the demo from the last hosting by Pitbull, and improved the audience by numbers by 123 percent.

So, seems like this was a good choice!

Meanwhle perennial NYE juggernaut, New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, drew 15.7 total viewers, and a 5.0 in the demo in its 10 p.m. hour. These are the special’s best numbers since 2000.
