What’s the plot of ‘Hot Year’?
Described as an “indie coming-of-age revenge thriller,” Hot Year follows two childhood best friends who live in the Pacific Northwest. One year, during a heatwave, their friendship is tested to the extreme after a revenge plot against an ex-boyfriend goes out of control and “spirals into a violent incident they can’t take back,” according to the description.
Throughout the night, the two must deal with the consequences of their actions “as buried trauma, loyalty and identity collide.”
