Summer Walker and Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr. showed out together in matching all-black outfits for the 2023 BET Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday. Months after sparking online romance rumors, the occasion marked their first official public appearance.

The sultry singer stood hand in hand with her man in a stunning, bodycon black gown that showed off her curvy, post-baby body. It featured rows of shiny black beads with a high neck silhouette and a floor-length skirt attached to a train. She finished off the classy look with long, sleek black locks accompanied by face-framing bangs. The “BMF” star matched her elegant look with an all-black ensemble of his own, complete with black shades that completed the fit.

The R&B singer and her actor boyfriend posed for the camera, with Meech at one point even giving his girlfriend a sweet kiss on the cheek for one snap.
It was back in early May that Meech first fueled romance rumors when he posted a batch of photos with Walker on his Instagram Story, HipHopDX reported. Then the pair were spotted out and about together on several occasions.

The “Ex For A Reason” singer finally put rumors to rest and addressed her budding romance during an episode of the “Caresha Please” podcast with Yung Miami of City Girls on May 25. When asked about Meech, Walker revealed that she hoped to delay going public with Meech.
“I wanted at least like six months before people started to investigate,” she said. “I really wanted to give it some time, you know. It’s fresh, you never know what can happen, but so far it’s great.”
This appearance comes on the heels of cheating allegations that arose against her 23-year-old boo when a woman named Anisa Ali Abdu was seen sporting his BMF chain, prompting Walker to confront the woman.
According to screenshots of DMs between the female fan and Meech, she said that the actor hit her up asking her to “make a story” up and act like they were just “homies.” Walker clearly paid the former no attention, reuniting with Meech earlier this month, as seen in a photo she posted of the pair.
