Super producer Will Packer is on a roll. It was just yesterday that he sold an autobiographical comedy to NBC, titled "Like Father, Like Son," which will be inspired by events from Packer’s life, and centers on a recently divorced man in his early 30s who is just starting to enjoy the benefits of being young, successful and single when he learns he has a 15-year-old son from a one-night-stand he had in college.
Today, Packer is sold yet another half-hour comedy, also to NBC (his third sale this season) titled "#PeopleAreTalking," which he’s teaming up with DJ Nash ("Growing Up Fisher" creator) to develop.
No details on plot on this one, but the press statement does say that it will examine matters of race & sex.
Nash will pen the script and executive produce alongside Packer and his Will Packer Productions.
This is all part of Packer’s first-look deal with NBC/Universal.
The third sale is a remake of the 1989 John Candy comedy "Uncle Buck."
