In recent years, A24 has garnered quite an established reputation for its acclaimed onslaught of horror films such as Hereditary, Midsommar and The Witch. Hoping to continue this trend, the acclaimed studio has released the trailer for its latest horror brainchild, Talk To Me.
Starring Sophie Wilde, the film chronicles Mia, a bereaved teenager who joins her group of friends in playing a game with an embalmed hand that supposedly opens up a door to the other side during a party activity. Of course, this decision unleashing terrifying suopernatural forces and even greater consequences.
“When a group of friends discover how to conjure spirits using an embalmed hand, they become hooked on the new thrill, until one of them goes too far and unleashes terrifying supernatural forces,” the synopsis reads.
Talk To Me was directed by Danny and Michael Philippou, the former of whom co-wrote the script with Bill Hinzman.
Aside from Wilde, Talk To Me also stars Miranda Otto, Alexandra Jensen, Joe Bird, Otis Dhanji and Zoe Terakes. Samantha Jennings and Kristina Ceyton produce, while Christopher Seeto serves as co-producer.
Talk To Me will arrive in theaters everywhere starting July 28.
