Netflix’s untitled Chilling Adventures of Sabrina series has found its Prudence.
The 100 actress Tati Gabrielle has landed the series regular role of Sabrina’s adversary.
A horror take on the classic Archie comic, the series, which already has a two-season order, will imagine “the origin and adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft. Tonally in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist, this adaptation finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature – half-witch, half-mortal – while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit.”
Kiernan Shipka leads the series in the titular role. Jaz Sinclair was cast as Sabrina’s best friend, Rosalind and Chance Perdomo will play Sabrina’s pansexual warlock cousin, Ambrose.
Here’s the description for Prudence: A student at the Academy of Unseen Arts and the de facto leader of a trio of witches known as the Weird Sisters. Beautiful and cunning, Prudence nurses a deep, personal, and possibly life-threatening grudge against Sabrina.
Originally set up at The CW as a companion series to Riverdale, Netflix ordered the series, where Deadline initially reported that it received a better offer and would allow its production company, Warner Bros. Television, to have full ownership.
