The latest trailer for The Color Purple is daring you to “Push Da Button,” with scenes of Taraji P. Henson singing one of the hit songs from the musical.

The trailer also shows more of Fantasia and Colman Domingo’s portrayals of Celie and Mister. For the uninitiated who only know Mister from the first trailer, you might not be expecting the character to be as mean as he actually is, but fans of the book and Steven Spielberg film know that Mister is a severe threat to Celie’s life and happiness.

Also shown in the trailer is more of Danielle Brooks as Sofia, one of the positive and protective influences in Celie’s life. She joins Celie’s sister Nettie (Halle Bailey and Ciara) and Henson’s character Shug as the group of women who inspire Celie to keep seeing herself as worthy of love and respect.

Directed by Bliz Bazawule and based on the bestselling novel by Alice Walker, The Color Purple comes to theaters this Christmas.
