It’s Indigenous Peoples Day! For those still recognizing the colonizer holiday Columbus Day instead, here’s a clip from the existential comedy The Good Place. 

When Chidi (William Jackson Harper) tells Michael (Ted Danson) that he often gets lost in elevators, he calls himself, “not exactly Christopher Columbus.” All-knowing being Janet (D’Arcy Camden) jumps in to give a “fun fact” about the historical figure and where he wound up in the afterlife, “because of all the raping, slave trade and genocide!”
