Baby Keem is giving music and film fans alike a lot to look forward to in his Prime Video film The Melodic Blue. The film shares the name of his 2021 debut album.

The film’s trailer, which was released Tuesday, shows Keem with Amandla Stenberg playing his love interest. The surrealist film also stars Ja’nai Paye, Francis Lovehall and Séréna Sy. The film is written by the collective pgLang founded by Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free. Savannah Setten, who directed Keem’s music video for “No Sense,” also directs the film.

There’s not much about the film anywhere, but the official logline reads simply as: “Keem’s internal battle leads us through fragments of memory and temptation as he navigates the depths of The Melodic Blue.”

The film is executive produced by Keem, Lamar and Free and produced by Jamie Rabineau and Cornell Brown.

The Melodic Blue comes to Prime Video Dec. 5.
