Well, it’s time for a new shift at The Pitt! HBO Max has dropped the first teaser trailer for Season 2. The drop comes ahead of the Emmys, where Season 1 nabbed 13 nominations.

Alongside Noah Wyle returning in the lead role of Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, it is confirmed that Patrick Ball will also be back as Dr. Langdon, after the character was dismissed last season.

Who is returning for ‘The Pitt’ Season 2?

Also confirmed to be back in the fold are Katherine LaNasa (Dana Evans), Supriya Ganesh (Dr. Mohan), Fiona Dourif (Dr. McKay), Taylor Dearden (Dr. King), Isa Briones (Dr. Santos), Gerran Howell (Whitaker), Shabana Azeez (Javadi) and Sepideh Moafi (Dr. Al-Hashimi).

Per the official logline, the show is “a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today’s America as seen through the lens of the frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh.”

What this star teased about Season 2 at the end of Season 1

Blavity’s Shadow and Act spoke with Ganesh for the season finale of Season 1, and she teased what could come in Season 2.

“Yeah, I am so curious to see hopefully where my character will go in Season 2. I would love to know myself,” she said with a laugh. “But I absolutely agree. I think it would be so cool to see her have that realization and have it play out in terms of knowing when to turn it off, in terms of knowing when to go back home. Because with Episode 15, it just does such a good job of showing that. I think Episode 15 is very interesting because up until then, Samira is all about work. I think she has a personal life that’s kind of kept under wraps — a lot more compared to a lot of the other characters. And in 15, you realize, oh, it’s not under wraps. There’s just no personal life. This is just all there is. And I think Scott just did such a great job of showing that. So yeah, I’m curious to see if it goes forward in Season 2 as well.”

The series is produced by John Wells Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. R. Scott Gemmill is the series creator and executive produces with John Wells, Wyle, Michael Hissrich JWP’s Erin Jontow and Simran Baidwan.
