Halle Berry is adding another psychological thriller to her docket.

Deadline is exclusively reporting that Berry is set to headline and produce The Process, a psychological thriller from Levin Menekse’s The Black List script. Tara Miele is the director. Berry will produce the film alongside Holly Jeter through their banner HalleHolly. Berry, of course, is no stranger to psychological thrillers, having starred in films such as Gothika, Perfect Stranger and The Call.

“We are thrilled to be working with HalleHolly to bring Levin’s amazing screenplay to the screen,” Robert Kravis and Karl Herrmann from Pioneer Pictures said in a statment. “Tara’s vision for the film—a Kubrickian psychological thriller taking us down the rabbit-hole of self-help cults, and Halle’s interpretation of the film’s lead character, Kirsa—a woman fighting to preserve her marriage and her sanity amid an oppressive cult of personality, will leave audiences breathless.”

The Process, as reported by Deadline, chronicles a seemingly happily married couple, who attend the a renowned self-help guru’s weekend seminar, and are asked to examine their individual lives, careers, and ultimately their marriage, but when Kirsa resists Aiden’s “process” and his cult of committed volunteers, and Peter buys in, their relationship and sanity are quickly put to the test

“It’s so rare to find a script like Levin Menekse’s The Process that is gripping, emotionally resonant, and feels essential in this moment,” Miele said in a statement. “I’m thrilled to get to bring this gem to life and to collaborate with Halle Berry, who brings such raw, real presence to the screen as an actress and is also an incredibly thoughtful collaborator and savvy producer.”

The Process will also be produced by Robert Kravis and Karl Herrmann through their Pioneer Pictures banner. Julia Sandberg Hansson is also producing.
