Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse was one of the most acclaimed films of 2018, eventually going on to win the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
Wednesday, Twitter user @Rashona shared a hilarious video from the TikTok account @just_jenoah_ showcasing a parody of the acclaimed superhero film. The video mocks the scene when police officer Jefferson Davis drops his son, Miles Morales, off at school and proceeds to embarrass him.

The tweet eventually caught fire, garnering the attention of #OscarsSoWhite creator April Reign and Into The Spider-Verse director Peter Ramsey.

The movie which stars Shameik Moore, Mahershala Ali, Brian Tyree Henry and Hailee Steinfeld, follows Morales, an Afro-Latino teenager who eventually becomes Spider-Man.
