Fox and Jerry Bruckheimer are developing a new hour-long drama project to be titled “Atlanta’s Most Wanted” which Tip “T.I.” Harris will star in as well as executive produce.
The potential series will be set in Atlanta, and will see Harris play the son of a criminal kingpin who is recruited by a new vice squad that’s set up to go up against the city’s criminals, and in the process, threatens to expose a secret he’s held for a long time that could disrupt his entire life.
About the collaboration, Harris said, “I am honored to partner with Fox and Bruckheimer on what is truly a passion project for me… It’s going to be amazing to see my city represented in this fashion.”
Jerry Bruckheimer will executive produce the project alongside Harris, as well as Jonathan Littman, Brian Sher, KristieAnne Reid, Rob Hardy, and Rodney Barnes who will also write.
Bruckheimer’s TV production arm will produce along with 20th Century Fox Television.
Harris – who we last saw on the big screen earlier this year in “Fist Fight” and “Sleepless” – is repped by CAA and Category 5 Entertainment.
He’s also currently attached to reprise his role from the 2015 original in “Ant-Man and the Wasp” which will be out in 2018.
