Shadow and Act has exclusively learned that Tracee Ellis Ross is narrating the upcoming National Geographic docuseries, Growing Up Animal, for Disney+.

Growing Up Animal, a six-part original series from National Geographic launches August 18 on Disney+. The series, narrated by Emmy-nominated actress and star of Blackish, Tracee Ellis Ross, follows animal mothers and babies from the womb to the outside world as they face the triumphs and trials of nature. Each hour-long episode is an intimate look into the birth of a different iconic animal—grizzlies, sea lions, elephants, African wild dogs, chimpanzees and lions. All six episodes will be available to stream on the series launch date.The Disney+ original series from National Geographic, is an intimate and extraordinary adventure of baby animals, from the safety of the womb to the uncertainty of birth and their tentative first steps. Each episode — baby chimps, sea lions, elephants, African wild dogs, lions and grizzlies — sees the incredible transformation of a different iconic animal, full of wonder and emotion. The six-part series debuts Aug. 18 on Disney+.
