LaKeith Stanfield and Trevante Rhodes are joining Taylor Sheridan’s upcoming film project.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Stanfield, Rhodes, Jason Clarke and Sam Claflin are set to star in F.A.S.T. with Juliana Canfield and 1923 star Brandon Sklenar.
The film is written by Sheridan and directed by Sheridan’s primary1923 director, Ben Richardson.
What will ‘F.A.S.T.’ be about?
The film follows “a former special forces commando, down on his luck after he returns Stateside, who is tapped by the DEA to lead a black op strike team against CIA-protected drug dealers in his town,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The cast’s roles haven’t been specifically detailed to the press, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, the actors will play “a range of roles,” including Delta Force commandos and DEA agents.
The project may be similar to another Sheridan project
Probably the best Sheridan project that provides a bit of an idea of what F.A.S.T. will be like is the Paramount+ series Lioness, starring Zoe Saldana as a CIA operative on the frontlines of fighting terror while balancing her personal family life. While F.A.S.T. seems like it won’t have any personal life drama, the film, like the series, focuses on fast-paced, gritty military action.
Heyday Films’ David Heyman and Jeffrey Clifford will produce with Sheridan and Jenny Wood via Bosque Ranch Productions. President of Production Jesse Ehrman and Executive Vice President of Production Kevin McCormick will oversee for Warner Bros.
