While Yung Miami has already achieved fame and stardom through City Girls, she’s hopeful that her Caresha Please podcast will truly elevate her to new heights.
The “Rap Freaks” artist recently sat down with XXL and dished on her goals for the podcast, which has already proven itself to be a beloved hit.
“I want to take it to the next level,” the Florida native said of Caresha Please, XXL reports. “I want to be like — I think she has a podcast now — a person like Wendy Williams.”
Yung Miami continued, noting that she aspires to become a major media mogul — specifically saying she aims to “be the Black Oprah.”
“I’m dreaming big. I want to go to the highest of the highest. I want to be the Black Oprah,” she shared.
In addition to sharing this sentiment in her XXL interview, Yung Miami doubled down on (and hyped up) her “Black Oprah” comment on social media.

Fellow rapper Kash Doll was also tickled by Yung Miami’s revelation.

Looking ahead, one user tweeted that Yung Miami must name her next single “Black Oprah.”
Yung Miami next single gotta be called “Black Oprah” now

There were also some people who shared tweets about the implication that there’s a “white Oprah.”

White Oprah got 24 hours to respond. https://t.co/tjT1T0rFxV

However, not everyone was amused, and some users even slammed her comment as being problematic.
These kids have all the advancement of the modern world & STILL think it’s “white” to be educated, classy, and powerful like Oprah. All you who think saying “black Oprah” is funny are lost and stupid not to mention disrespectful & ungrateful for Oprah’s legacy. Sick of this place

Black people are not a monolith and to suggest that Oprah isn’t culturally Black is white supremacy at its finest. https://t.co/8CPfq1ZGHs

Idk how “white coded” Oprah is, she still black. There is no denying that. Caresha just made a stupid ass statement. Stop trying to say you knew what she meant.

On the other hand, there were also people breaking down why Yung Miami’s comment “makes perfect sense.”

Oprah may be black but she been exploiting and manipulating people for decades usually for her white mates like David Geffen and Harvey Weinstein. She threw MJ under bus even though she knew first hand that the white man story about train station was impossible.

What do you think about Yung Miami’s proclamation?
