Actor Tyler James Williams has left the internet in a frenzy after he shocked the world with his unbelievable rap skills.

Although he’s been acting since the age of 4, Williams is mostly known for his role on the hit TV sitcom Everybody Hates Chris, where he portrayed comedian Chris Rock during his teenage years in Brooklyn, New York. Recently, the actor has also become a fan favorite on Quinta Brunson‘s Abbott Elementary, which was nominated for seven Emmys earlier this year.

The 30-year-old was the latest guest on Sway in the Morning, a Sirius XM radio show hosted by multimedia journalist and former rapper Sway Calloway, Heather B. Gardner and Tracy G.

During the interview, the group discussed Williams’ acting career and Season Two of Abbott Elementary, which he revealed he’s so happy to be a part of because the show has “heart.” But what fans didn’t expect was a random freestyle from the actor himself.

Calloway revealed to listeners that Williams writes raps and actually has “bars.”

“We didn’t even get into the bars. He used to send me bars, and I used to be like what the hell is going on? This dude is spitting bars,” Calloway exclaimed. “And the voice for it … I love your voice, brother!”

The actor was then asked if he still wrote raps in his spare time.

“Oh, I always have something. I always got a little something. I wouldn’t show up if I didn’t,” Williams replied.

The group dropped a beat for Williams to freestyle over, and he requested “something faster” — specifically “F.N.F (Let’s Go)” a collaboration by one of this year’s breakout artists, GloRilla, and producer Hitkidd.

Before he started rapping, Williams made it clear that he was about to “talk [his] s**t” and didn’t disappoint with his smooth cadence over the hit song for close to two minutes.

Once he dropped the mic, Calloway hopped up in shock that the “little dude from across the street” had another incredible gift he was able to share with the world.

Fans reacted in surprise because Williams has never rapped publicly outside of his role in the 2012 Disney movie Let It Shine.
