nullTwo years ago, Tyra Banks shared, in an interview with Digital Spy, that a sequel to her 2000 movie "Life-Size" was in development.

Rumors of a sequel have been floating around prior to that reveal, but nothing concrete had been confirmed until she mentioned it; and nothing has been reported about it since that interview 2 years ago… until now.

Banks, speaking to Variety yesterday, Banks shared that a sequel to the original was officially in development, with the Disney Channel as a likely home for it. “There is no one else that can play Eve but me, thank you very much!” Banks said. “I’m just joking with you, but yes, I am going to be Eve.”

She will also executive produce the telepic, although no word on other casting (Lindsay Lohan starred in the original): “We have not talked about casting at all so I have no idea who is going to be the young person that will be the owner of Eve. We haven’t gotten to that.”

The original movie starred a much younger and drama-free Lindsay Lohan as a girl whose Barbie-like doll, Eve, played by Tyra Banks, comes to life. It’s not a film I’ve seen, so I’ll defer commentary to those of you who have.

Lohan will have no involvement in the sequel as well.

A 2016 premiere date is eyed, according to Banks.
