Fast and Furious franchise star Tyrese Gibson is set to star in the upcoming Lionsgate action/thriller Dangerous. The film also stars Scott Eastwood, Famkle Janssen, Kevin Durand and Mel Gibson. The film will be directed by David Hackl and written by Christopher Borrelli.
The film will follow Eastwood’s character, an ex-con who is hoping to finish his parole and stay mentally healthy. But tragedy strikes. According to the official description:
DANGEROUS follows ex-con and reformed sociopath Dylan Forrester (Scott Eastwood), who is trying to quietly serve out his parole — with the help of a steady supply of antidepressants and his eccentric psychiatrist (Mel Gibson). But when his brother dies under mysterious circumstances, Dylan breaks parole and, with a dogged FBI agent (Famke Janssen) on his trail, goes to uncover the truth. A band of heavily armed mercenaries wants something Dylan’s brother was hiding, and Dylan will need all his guile and tactical skills to survive in this action-packed thriller[.]
The film will be available in theaters and on demand Nov. 5.
Gibson can currently be seen in F9, which is now available on demand. He will also take part in the upcoming Fast and Furious sequel, which is expected in 2023.
