In a newly resurfaced video, Frank Ocean leads the class and the audience in song at the John Ehret High School graduation.

In the video YouTube user, Daymond Burditt shared Ocean, born Christopher Breaux, is seen singing the school’s alma mater at his 2005 commencement ceremony in New Orleans.

According to W magazine, Ocean revealed that he didn’t have a love for authority, sharing that he was expelled and suspended every school year.

“I didn’t have a deep affection for authority,” Ocean said. “I was expelled and suspended it felt like every five minutes, every school year until I became obsessed with figuring out how to make a career in music. And that interest fostered a different mentality. I think it was also around the transition to becoming a teenager, and I got really calm. My mom comments on that fairly often. I feel like I still had a lot of inner chaos, but I didn’t express it the same way. So that probably was noticeable.”

Although fans would prefer a new release from the reclusive musician, many users still enjoy the 17-year-old clip.

Frank Ocean has not released a comment about the video’s release.
