Here’s an exclusive clip behind the scenes of Nigerian Prince, a film which is the result of a $1M grant won by director Faraday Okoro at the Tribeca Film Festival last year, through AT&T’s Untold Stories program. This is Okoro’s feature film directorial debut, and also the inaugural winning film from the Untold Stories program, a collaboration and ongoing program from Tribeca and AT&T.

Nigerian Prince follows two characters; Eze, a stubborn, first-generation Nigerian-American teenager and his cousin, Pius, who is a desperate Nigerian Prince scammer. After Eze’s mother sends him to Nigeria against his will, Eze retaliates by teaming up with Pius to scam unsuspecting foreigners in order to earn money for a return ticket back to America.

It is set to premiere at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival, and will be distributed across AT&T video platforms, including DIRECTV and DIRECTV NOW.

Spike Lee and Sam Pollard are executive producers on Nigerian Prince.
