Ava DuVernay’s production company, ARRAY, is releasing a brand new inspirational documentary called Roll With Me. The film, directed by Lisa France, follows Gabriel Cordell, a man who developed paraplegia after a car accident and took a cross-country journey to find himself again.
In the film, we hear how Cordell fell into a pattern of drug addiction after his accident and how his decision to travel from Santa Monica, California, to his hometown of West Hempstead, New York, has helped him with his recovery as well as renew his faith in the spirit of humanity.
Check out the trailer below. Roll With Me is on Netflix now. According to Entertainment Weekly, its release date coincides with an important day that happens two days after the film’s release–the UN’s International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
