Following CNN’s 2-hour special on the legacy of President Barack Obama, CBS and OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network will present a new special “First Lady Michelle Obama Says Farewell to the White House – An Oprah Winfrey Special,” to be broadcast Monday, Dec. 19 (8-9 p.m ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. OWN will air the second showing of the special on Wednesday, Dec. 21 (9 p.m. ET/PT).




In the special, taped this month, Oprah Winfrey speaks to First Lady Michelle Obama for her final one-on-one interview inside the White House. During this exclusive interview in the First Family’s private residence, topics will include details about life at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and her eight years as First Lady of the United States, the legacy she’ll leave behind and her plans for the future.

“First Lady Michelle Obama Says Farewell to the White House – An Oprah Winfrey Special” is produced by OWN Studios, with Tara Montgomery and Oprah Winfrey as executive producers.

Meanwhile, CNN’s “The Legacy of Barack Obama” 2-hour special aired last week, on Dec. 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
