With All Eyez On Me being available for digital HD release on today (August 22) and it’s Blu-ray/DVD release coming up on September 5th, here is an exclusive behind-the-scenes clip of look into the preparation that went behind transforming Demetrius Shipp Jr into Tupac, although he’s arguably already a spitting image. The full featurette will be included on the digital and Blu-ray/DVD release.
All Eyez On Me tells the true and untold story of prolific rapper, actor, poet and activist Tupac Shakur. The film follows Shakur from his early days in New York City to his evolution into being one of the world’s most recognized and influential voices, before his untimely death at the age of 25. Against all odds, Shakur’s raw talent, powerful lyrics and revolutionary mindset propelled him into becoming a cultural icon whose legacy continues to grow long after his passing.
Newcomer Shipp Jr. leads the cast as Tupac Shakur. The film also stars Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries), Lauren Cohan (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice), Hill Harper (CSI: NY), Jamal Woolard (reprising his role as The Notorious B.I.G. from Notorious), Danai Gurira (The Walking Dead), Jamie Hector (The Wire) and Cory Hardrict (American Sniper).
