Uzo Aduba at The Oxford Union
Uzo Aduba

An revealing, insightful and entertaining hour-long interview with actress Uzo Aduba, which was held at The Oxford Union, Oxford University.

It’s part of an ongoing special speaker series put together by the Screen Actors Guild Foundation and the Oxford University Union, which kicked off in 2014. The event takes place in the historic Oxford debating chamber, and is open to the student body and alumni, the goal being to enrich the careers of actors worldwide.

It reminds of James Lipton’s “Inside the Actors Studio” on the Bravo network, as well-known actors explore the process and profession of acting with an audience of mostly fellow performers, reflecting on personal experiences and artistic influences that informed and shaped their careers, discussing past and current projects, sharing valuable insights into the craft and industry, and preserve their creative legacies.

The conversation with Uzo Aduba (who is currently starring with Zawe Ashton in a London West End stage production of “The Maids”) was Moderated by Stuart Webber, President, The Oxford Union. It’s really good stuff, and you should listen to it. I learned several things about her that I didn’t know previously, and she’s a fun conversationalist.
