Wesley Snipes is reacting to Marvel’s failed attempts to get the Blade reboot off the ground.

Snipes, who originally starred as the Marvel character in 1998, took to social media to give his opinions on the Mahershala Ali-starring reboot’s frequent mishaps.

“Blade, lordylordylordy,” he wrote, adding a side-eye emoji, as reported by Variety. “Folks still lookin for the secret sauce, ridin snowmobiles in traffic, kinda rough. Daywalkers make it look easy, don’t they?”

Snipes’ reaction comes after Blade lost another director, Yann Demange. He is the second director to leave the project after Bassam Tariq. The film has also had its share of screenwriters as well; currently, Nic Pizzolatto is attached to write, but Michael Starburry and Stacy Osei-Kuffour have also been attached at one time.

The Blade reboot has been in the works since 2019, when Ali was announced as the title character at San Diego Comic Con. Ever since, the film has been floundering with fans progressively gaining and losing hope as the film has changed out directors and screenwriters. Now that Snipes is sounding off on the film’s issues, it would seem like the pressure is mounting for Marvel to do something with the project quickly.
