Westworld is one of the few shows on television where you can watch a nearly 3-minute long trailer featuring almost every principal character and still gain…nothing from it?
The trailer for Season 3 dropped after the presentation at San Diego Comic-Con, following the release of a teaser trailer earlier this year.
A dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the birth of a new form of life on Earth, the show was created for television by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, who are also executive producers. The show debuted on HBO in October 2016 to become the network’s most-watched first-year series ever.
The show’s ensemble cast includes Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Ed Harris, James Marsden, Luke Hemsworth, Anthony Hopkins and Tessa Thompson. Newcomers for this season include Aaron Paul, Lena Waithe and Kid Cudi. Although the trailer has been released now, the series will not debut until 2020, following a trend of the show debuting a new season every other year.
