The new teaser for The Upshaws is all love as the show comes back in January for its final season on Netflix.

The date announcement video for The Upshaws Part 7, which also serves as the series’ date announcement, features the cast, including Mike Epps, Kim Fields and Wanda Sykes, having fun with each other and receiving adoration and love from the live audience. The clips from the cast’s camaraderie push the idea that this season will be a special one that fans will never forget.

Created by Regina Hicks and Sykes, who also serve as showrunners, The Upshaws is about a working-class family who are making their family work, despite challenges that come up.

What is ‘The Upshaws’ about?

According to the official description:

Bennie Upshaw (Mike Epps), the head of a Black working class family in Indianapolis, is a charming, well-intentioned mechanic and lifelong mess just trying his best to step up and care for his family — wife Regina (Kim Fields), their two young daughters (Khali Spraggins, Journey Christine) and firstborn son (Jermelle Simon), the teenage son (Diamond Lyons) he fathered with another woman (Gabrielle Dennis) — and tolerate his sardonic sister-in-law (Wanda Sykes), all without a blueprint for success. But the Upshaws are determined to make it work, and make it to the next level, together.
