Kevin Hart and Will Smith are remaking Planes, Trains & Automobiles.
Smith and Hart are starring in the remake of the John Hughes classic originally starring John Candy and Steve Martin as two men with opposing personalities crossing the country to get home to their families for Thanksgiving.
The remake will be with Paramount Pictures and produced by Smith and Hart’s production companies, Westbrook Studios and Hartbeat Productions, respectively. Ayesha Carr, a writer of the upcoming Hulu comedy series Woke, will write the script, her first script for a feature-length film.
Also producing include Jon Mone, Westbrook Studios’ co-president and motion pictures head, and Bryan Smiley, Hartbeat’s president of film and television.
