The new trailer for Disney’s upcoming animated feature, Wish shows just how far a wish upon a star can go.
The trailer features more of Asha (voiced by Ariana DeBose), a young woman who wants to answer all of her town’s wishes, an action that goes against King Magnifico (Chris Pine).

Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Wish is an all-new musical-comedy welcoming audiences to the magical kingdom of Rosas, where Asha, a sharp-witted idealist, makes a wish so powerful that it is answered by a cosmic force—a little ball of boundless energy called Star. Together, Asha and Star confront a most formidable foe—the ruler of Rosas, King Magnifico—to save her community and prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars, wondrous things can happen.
The cast also includes Alan Tudyk as Asha’s goat Valentino, Angelique Cabral as King Magnifico’s wife Queen Amaya, Victor Garber as Asha’s grandfather Sabino and Natasha Rothwell as Asha’s mother Sakina.
Other voice actors include Jennifer Kumiyama as Asha’s friend and town baker Dahlia, Evan Peters as Simon, Harvey Guillén as Gabo, Ramy Youseff as Safi, Niko Vargas as Hal, Della Saba as Bazeem and Jon Rudnitsky as Dario.
Wish is directed by the Frozen franchise’s Chris Buck and Raya and the Last Dragon‘s Fawn Veerasunthorn. Frozen franchise’s Peter Del Vecho and Jennifer Lee produce and executive produce, respectively, with Encanto‘s Pablo Reyes Lancaster Jones serving as producer. Lee and Allison Moore serve as screenwriters. Original songs are by Julia Michaels and Benjamin Rice with a score by Dave Metzger.
Wish comes to theaters this Thanksgiving, Nov. 22.
