Insecure star Yvonne Orji has just booked her first film.

She’s the latest to join Night School, the next film from Will Packer and Malcolm D. Lee. It is based on a story by Hart, who is also starring along with Girls Trip standout Tiffany Haddish.

Tim Story was previously attached to direct the movie which is set for a Friday, September 28, 2018 release.

Hart, who came up with the original story, and co-wrote the script with Harry Ratchford, Joey Wells and Matt Kellard – with additional script work by Nick Stoller – will also produce the film, which follows a group of misfits who are forced to attend adult classes in preparation to take the GED exam.

Will Packer will produce for his Will Packer Productions alongside Hart, who will produce via his Hartbeat Productions banner. It’s a reteaming of Packer and Lee who also assumed the same roles for the blockbuster hit, Girls Trip, which just crossed the $100M mark at the domestic box office.

Aside from this and Insecure, Orji also has First Gen lined up, a movie she’s starring in and writing, executive produced by Oprah Winfrey and David Oyelowo. It is about Orji’s character Joanna, a first generation Nigerian-American who has a career in medicine but leaves it for stand-up comedy.
