The first teaser trailer has been released for The Drama, the upcoming A24 comedy-drama film starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson.
The quick logline is as follows: “A happily engaged couple is put to the test when an unexpected turn sends their wedding week off the rails.”
The film also stars Alana Haim, Mamoudou Athie and Hailey Benton Gates. Kristoffer Borgli is the writer and director.
What do we see in ‘The Drama’ trailer?
As you can see in the trailer below, Zendaya and Pattinson’s characters are taking photos ahead of their wedding, and the photographer wants to have them appear closer and happier in the photos. We then get shots of happy moments between the couple, as well as moments of past and future chaos, including on their wedding day.
A24 posted a wedding announcement from the Boston Globe
Prior to the trailer debut, A24 posted an actual Boston Globe announcement of the fictional characters’ wedding.
The listing describes Zendaya’s Emma Harwood as a 2017 honors graduate of Boston University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in English. It lists Pattison’s Charlie Thompson as a 2004 graduate of Eaton College, and that he got his Ph.D in Art History from Tufts. Emma works at Mission Books, while Charlie is the Director of the Cambridge Art Museum. Emma’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Harwood, announced the engagement in the paper. Charlie’s parents are stated to be Mr. and Mrs. Alan Thompson of London, England. Emma’s father is said to be “a decorated military veteran.”
When is ‘The Drama’ starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson going to be released?
