The highy-anticipated theatrical run for Ava DuVernay's critically-acclaimed drama Middle Of Nowhere, will begin on October 12, via Participant Media and AFFRM.
The film, which centers on an African American woman struggling to maintain her marriage and identity, after her husband is incarcerated, stars Emayatzy Corinealdi, David Oyelowo, Omari Hardwick, Lorraine Touissaint, and Edwina Findley.
Award-winning DP Bradford Young lensed the film, DuVernay's follow-up to last year's Salli Richardson-Whitfield starrer I Will Follow.
AFFRM has released opening and second week playdates for what will be the organization's 4th theatrical release, and we have that info for you exclusively.
It's also worth noting that AFFRM has expanded it's exhibitor relationships to include the Regal, Rave, Landmark and AMC theater chains, as well as independent cinemas; this means that many more of you will have access to the film, and maybe much sooner than you would've otherwise.
Additional dates will be announced beyond week 2 at AFFRM.com.
