Ava DuVernay's sophomore drama Middle Of Nowhere made its New York debut over the weekend at the 16th Urbanworld Film Festival, to an undoubtedly enthusiastic sold-out audience.
That should certainly bode well for the film's upcoming commercial theatrical release, starting on October 12, via Participant Media and AFFRM.
The film, which centers on an African American woman struggling to maintain her marriage and identity, after her husband is incarcerated, stars Emayatzy Corinealdi, David Oyelowo, Omari Hardwick, Lorraine Touissaint, and Edwina Findley, and was beautifully-shot by award-winning DP Bradford Young.
