The family of Raheem White, a Toronto man who went missing on Wednesday, is urging for the public's help to find their loved one.

“We need Raheem back home safely. We are praying and anticipating his safe return,” White’s mother, Rose Johnson, told Toronto.com. “His friends are up all night searching for him. His girlfriend is so upset. His young brothers are asking what's happening.”

Johnson, who is currently in Jamaica, said she last spoke with her son on Nov. 29 when he called to wish his father a happy birthday.

“He appeared so excited. He spoke about his new business and he was looking forward to a new chapter in his life,” she said.

White's close friend Christian Evans, who filed the missing person report, said it's out of character for the 26-year-old to go missing.

"He’s the most stable, reliable guy I know,” Evans said, adding that he doesn’t believe his friend was going through any upsetting situation. “Many friends are looking all over the city, at all hours of the day and night to try to find him.”

The popular Toronto DJ was last seen wearing a black jacket and black pants, along with an orange toque. He was also carrying a black backpack. White's wallet and keys were recovered when his van was found in a Toronto neighborhood. The 6-foot, 190-pound man has brown eyes and brown hair in dreadlocks, along with tattoos of a palm tree on his left bicep and a rose on his shoulder.

Friends and family have been going to social media to share information about the missing DJ,  who has played at several clubs, local arts events, and radio shows.

"He means a lot to us. And it's been really great to see other people who don't even know him connect to what's happening and what we're feeling and what we're doing," White's friend, Khadijah Salawu, told CP24. "The support is overwhelming in a great way, and we just hope that awareness spreads across the city and people come together to find him."
