Deshaun Watson, the NFL quarterback who’s facing a series of sexual abuse allegations, was greeted with disapproval when he went to Jacksonville on Friday to play in his first preseason game for the Cleveland Browns. Shortly after Watson took the field, a large group of Jaguars fans in the stadium explicitly expressed their mind, making it clear that they are disturbed by the harrowing accusations facing the quarterback.

“You sick f**k,” the home crowd chanted repeatedly as Watson proceeded to play on the field.

According to Yahoo Sports, Watson issued an apology when he was interviewed during a pregame show on Friday. Addressing those he allegedly assaulted when he was playing for the Houston Texans, the quarterback said “I’m truly sorry to all of the women that I have impacted in this situation.”

“The decisions that I made in my life that put me in this position, I would definitely like to have back, but I want to continue to move forward and grow and learn and show that I am a true person of character and I’m going to keep pushing forward,” he said.

Former federal judge Sue L. Robinson has already ordered Watson to serve a six-game suspension, starting in the regular season. The NFL, however, has appealed the ruling, seeking a season-long suspension or a shorter suspension with a significant fine.

Watson and his defense team say the quarterback only had consensual encounters with the dozens of massage therapists who have brought sexual assault accusations against him.
