Some new info on this documentary film I profiled back in April, directed by Kevin J. Williams, and titled Fear of A Black Republican. The film asks why there aren’t many Black Republicans, and how that fact influences/affects the current 2-party political system in the USA.

There’s a much longer synopsis of the film, which includes talking heads like Cornell West and Tavis Smiley, on its website HERE. While there, you’ll also find an FAQ page that answers questions about the film, like how it was financed, what its objective is, the origins of its title, and why its filmmakers are white, given the subject matter.

I received an email earlier today alerting me to the fact that the film will have its World Premiere tomorrow night – the 23rd of June, at 7PM, in Atlanta, GA, at the Landmark Theater Midtown Art Cinema, 931 Monroe Drive.

Tickets are $25.00 each and can be bought in advance at HERE.

The filmmakers are 4-walling the theater for their premiere, which maybe explains why ticket prices are as high as they are.

The ATL screening will be followed by play dates in Charlotte, NC on the 25th, and Greensboro, NC, on Sunday the 26th.
