This is truly bizarre.
I don't believe it was ever revealed what was at the root of the last fire that caused heavy damage to Tyler Perry's 30-acre studio complex.
That was in May. Skip ahead about 3 months, and, it's happened AGAIN!!
What's going on here? Is it all just some technical malfunction, or is something else going on here.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Atlanta firefighters were on the scene of a fire this morning at Tyler Perry Studios; "Firefighters battling blaze at Tyler Perry Studios" was the headline; the body contained the following:
Fire officials have not released information on Monday's blaze, but police dispatchers reported that the roof of a building at the complex was on fire. The fire was apparently in a three-story, 100 by 200-foot building. Video from the Channel 2 Action News helicopter showed about two dozen firefighters on the roof of the building, but no smoke showing at 11:30 a.m […] It was not immediately known whether the building on fire Monday was the same building that caught fire on May 1. The 200,000-square-foot studio, which opened in 2008, is home to sets, sound stages and a 400-seat theater.
Uncanny.
Thankfully for him, this one doesn't appear to be as damaging as the first one was. Local news reporters in Atlanta are on the scene gathering more information, so there might be more details later…
