Well, here we go again; you know the deal… we've been here before, so I'm not even going to bother with any commentary. Just the facts…
Titled Madea's Witness Protection, the film's official synopsis reads:
Comic legend Eugene Levy (the AMERICAN PIE franchise, BEST IN SHOW) stars in the film as George, a high level CFO at the center of a Ponzi scheme in New York City who is enrolled in the Witness Protection program along with his family in the one place that absolutely no one will think to look for them: Madea's house down South.
Funnyman Eugene Levy, Denise Richards, Tom Arnold, Doris Roberts, Danielle Campbell and Devan Leos make up the starring cast – George's family (wife, mother and kids) and business associate (Arnold).
The supporting cast will comprise of Romeo Miller (Jumping The Broom), the son of rapper Master P, as Jake, a friend of Brian (an attorney who places the family in Madea's care, also played by Tyler Perry) who was affected by the scam; and veterans John Amos and Marla Gibbs also co-star – Amos as Jake's (Romeo Miller's) father in the film, and Gibbs appears as Madea's neighbor.
This will be Tyler Perry's 14th feature film with Lionsgate in 7 years – or about 2 a year – and they've collectively grossed close to $600 million at the North American box office alone.
His second of 3 films to be released in 2012; the first was Good Deeds, and the next will be Alex Cross, which will be out in the fall.
Madea's Witness Protection will be out June 29th, 2012.
