Yesterday was the day of the love, but it was also the founding day of renowned HBCU, Morehouse College! On February 14, 1867, only two years after the American Civil War, Rev. William Jefferson White founded the Augusta Institute in Augusta, GA. Cut to today and Morehouse College, located in Atlanta, GA, has become the largest men's college in the U.S.

That's right, it's Morehouse's sesquicentennial anniversary!
This week, Morehouse College is celebrating its 151st anniversary with Founder's Week, culminating in a celebration, including an 80s vs. 90s throwback concert featuring Tony! Toni! Toné! and speeches from business and entertainment moguls who will also be honored at this year's scholarship gala.
Other events include “Reflections of Excellence,” the 30th annual “A Candle in the Dark” Gala, “Founder’s Day Worship Service” and a performance by the Morehouse College Glee Club.
