CBS Mornings co-host Gayle King is giving her two cents about the drama involving Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes at ABC. Sitting down for an interview on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, King first said she was hoping to avoid answering questions about the alleged affair between the GMA3 hosts.

“Gosh, of all the questions I was hoping you would not talk about,” King said.

The CBS host then gave her thoughts on the situation.

“I look at the situation and I do say it’s very interesting what’s happening over there,” she said. “It’s just gotten very messy and very sloppy, I do think that. Because in the beginning I actually thought good on Good Morning America, they’re saying that they’re not taking them off the air, two consenting adults. But then the more you read, it’s just very messy.”

As Blavity previously reported, ABC news announced earlier this week that Robach and  Holmes have been indefinitely taken off the air after their alleged affair.

“After a lot of thought, I am taking Amy and T.J. off the air as we figure this out,” ABC News President Kim Godwin said according to Page Six, adding that the alleged affair was not a violation of company policy, but the company had to take them off the air to protect the GMA brand.

King said it’s difficult to see what it’s happening at the rival station.

“It’s a sad situation because you’ve got kids involved, you’ve got families involved and I keep thinking about that,” she said. “I’m very concerned about that.”

Robach and Holmes came under scrutiny last week after the Daily Mail posted photos of the pair holding hands in a car and sharing a laugh at a bar.
